CHEGA GADI CELEBRATED AT TENING

Tening Village Namsan (New Tening Village) under Peren District Celebrated Chega Gadi which is the most important festival of the Liangmai Naga on 30th October 2020. The festival falls in the month of Chagahiu i.e, October 30th & 31st every year. Earlier the forefathers observed this festival for 4 to 5 days however the duration was reduced to 2 to 3.

UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION EXTENSION OF TIMELINES FOR ONLINE APPLICATION FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

The University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education, Government of India had invited fresh applications (including renewals) from regular and full time students under the following four schemes for the Academic Year 2020- 2021: (1) Indira Gandhi PG Scholarship for Single Girl Child (SGC); (2) PG Scholarship for University Rank Holder candidate (URH); (3) Ishan Uday Special scheme for North Eastern Region (NER); (4) PG Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST candidates.

DC KOHIMA INFORMS ON VEHICLES RESTRICTION TO ENTER INSIDE DC's OFFICE COMPLEX

The Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Kohima, Mohammed Ali Shihab A IAS has informed all concerned that all Government and private vehicles have been restricted to enter inside the DC's Office Complex Kohima from 1st to 4th November the 2020 except for those on election duty or election related works.

This information was issued keeping in mind the ensuing Bye-Election to 14ty Southern Angami I ST Assembly Constituency scheduled on 3rd November 2020.
