Mokokchung district won the 13th edition of Nagaland Veteran Football tournament defeating Kohima district 1-0 in the final match. The four days tournament began on 10th  February 2026, at Old Showuba village, local ground Niuland District, with MLA, Kuzholuzo Nienu gracing the tournament. 
            The inter district tournament was hosted by Nagaland Veteran Football Association (NVFA) with the theme " Kick in football, Kick out ism".  A total of ten teams from ten districts participated in the tournament.  
Earlier, Wokha district defeated Zunheboto district and emerge as third and fourth position respectively.
             Anthony Ngullie, President of (NVFA) while delivering the closing remark thank all the players for displaying sportsmanship throughout the tournament and acknowledge the organisers for a successful tournament.  The president also handover the tournament trophy and medals to the players.
