The 1st Peren District Football League 2022 organized by the Peren District Football Association (PDFA) kicked off on 4th October 2022 at Jalukie 'B' Football Ground. The opening ceremony was graced by Kuchi Rangkau, Entrepreneur & Co-Founder YouthNet Nagaland.

Speaking at the event, Kuchi expressed appreciation to the PDFA for their efforts in organizing the tournament in such a grand manner. He also advised the players to inculcate strict discipline and make the best use of the facilities to reach greater heights.

Earlier, the programme was hosted by PDFA General Secretary Kengim Hegui, while Raithu Newmai, President of PDFA delivered the welcome address and Keyigumgwangbe Thou administered the oath to the players. A short speech was also delivered by Azui Newme, Jalukie 'B' Village Council Chairman.

The eight clubs taking part in the 1st season of Peren District Football League 2022 are Barak Football Academy, Puiteing FC, Benreu FC, Lekie Mtie FC, Northern Zeme Sports Association, Nsong Area Sports Association, Native Feathers FC and Prime FC.
