Zisaji Presidency College Kiphire celebrated its 25th anniversary on 12th July 2022 at the College Campus.
The word ZISAJI is believed to have been derived from the words "ZI" which means Zungki, "SA" meaning Saramati, and "JI" from Jingkhu.
Since its inception in the year 1997, 10th July, ZPC has embarked on a journey of shaping the dreams and inspiration of thousands of young men and women into reality.
The message of Minister Higher Education & Tribal Affairs Temjen Imna Along was delivered by Lerimong Sangtam Who is the state BJP executive member.
Along in his speech, mentioned some of the far-sighted and visionary leaders and founding members of Zisaji Presidency College Kiphire like MLA R L Akamba, R Tsitongse, Zikiumong, and late R Setsipi Sangtam and other eminent personalities like Tsanio (Retd DPRO) Dr. Surendra Prasad Panda, AJ Sebastian, Zhetovi R Joshua Sangtam and T.Ali Jamir the first government-appointed principal.
Minister stated that it gave him great pleasure to know that the college is working in Sync with the changing times and making use of modern technology for administrative functioning and curriculum transaction which is a great boost to take forward the new Education policy. The college is also rapidly progressing by leaps and bounds with the latest facilities such as the digital smart classroom, E-library, Entrepreneurial skill development program, integrated farming and incubation centre for Horticulture in collaboration with the Horticulture Department, IGNOU study centre for students who cannot pursue higher education in regular mode.
Minister Along also stated that celebrating the 25th Anniversary is not only a time to rejoice over the accomplishments so far, but to look back at the early formative years, the struggles, disappointment, and the sacrifices made by the founding members and teachers and also a time to retrospect the past weaknesses or failures and to identify the areas that need our attention for healthier growth and progress of the college.
Lastly, he also acknowledged the ZPC for being awarded with permanent affiliation in the year 2022 and accredited by NAAC with Grade B in the year 2019. As Zisaji Presidency College Kiphire achieve the milestone of the 25th glorious year, he opined that the College will continue to shine more as a centre of excellence and produce many more fine men and women that will bring more laurel to our state Nagaland.
DC Kiphire, T Wati Aier in his exhortation said that in the life of a student one should put God first to excel and achieve. He urged every student to inculcate the culture of hard work to build the society and the nation and to bring changes to society. Lastly, he appealed to the teachers and the staff to hold career guidance seminars from time to time for the benefit of the students.
The program was chaired by Bokali Shohe, Assistant Professor and the Jubilee College Choir presented a special song- "This is the year of jubilee". Short speeches were also delivered by the Founding member, Alumni students, Department of Higher Education, and former principal. Later, the welcome address was delivered by Dr. Purna Chandra Mishra Principal in Charge of ZPC Kiphire.
