The 2nd Session of the 73rd Yimchungru Tribal Council was held at Iponger Village under Pungro sub-division on March 25th 2021 under the theme "Patriotism and Peace". Guest of honour, MLA 60 A/C Pungro-Kiphire Yangseo extended his greetings to all the NGO leaders of Yimchungru on the occasion.

            Chairman NBRM, Thronghokiu and former MLA, R.Tohanba attended the session. Monolith, Khianji was also inaugurated during the session.

            In commemoration of the 66th anniversary establishment of the village in February 1955, he settled in the fertile land and named the village as Iponger Village. Traditional songs and dances were the other highlights of the celebration. The programme was chaired by Vice President YTC, Kiumuhan.
