The 3rd Day tour of 'Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan' was led by EAC Shamator, Mekato J Aye at Muleangkiur and Chassir Villages, Shamator on 21st June 2025.
As part of the program, the Shamator District Administration initiated a comprehensive outreach tour at Muleangkiur and Chassir villages to deliver essential government services and foster direct engagement with the community.
The key activities of the program includes: Social Welfare & Health Awareness: the team visited Anganwadi Centres and distributed sanitary pads were and conducted awareness on menstrual hygiene targeting adolescent girls and young women.
With the support of the officials from the Sakhi One Stop Centre, Social Welfare Department and the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), an awareness program for lactating mothers to promote maternal health and women’s welfare services was also held during the program.
Aadhaar & Certification Services: The team facilitated Aadhaar enrolment, corrections, and updates on-site. Additionally, Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs) were issued and Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate (IIC) forms were distributed, making access to essential documents more convenient for citizens.
CMHIS Enrolment & Awareness: Awareness on the Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) was conducted on-the-spot enrolment to ensure eligible citizens to benefit from the scheme.
Engagement with Village Councils:
The Administrative Officer held meaningful discussions with the Village Councils in both the villages regarding the local governance challenges, developmental needs, and improving access to government schemes. These dialogues provided valuable feedback and strengthened the relationship between the administration and the grassroots leadership.
The tour emphasized the district's ongoing commitment to accessible, inclusive, and participatory governance, ensuring that essential services reach even the remotest corners of the district.
