The 41st General Session of Phek District GB's Association was held on 13th May 2026 at DC’s Conference Hall, Phek with Deputy commissioner, Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, NCS as the Guest speaker.

Guest speaker, Deputy commissioner, Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, shared a short speech based on the authority and responsibilities of the Red Coat and reminded that it is not an ordinary coat, but it holds the symbol of responsibility and authority, and encouraged to wear them with respect and dignity. He also said that Red Coat have the power of customary law and reminded that GBs are responsible to look after the interest of their respective villages and their people. While briefing on the importance of Article 371(A), the DC said the GBs have the authority to settle dispute wherever necessary.

Speaking on the occasion, Shevohu Nienu, Chairman PTC emphasized the meaning of Gaonbura also called headmen, which was derived from the Assamese Word in 1878. He encouraged the gathering head of the villages to have faith in God and work with integrity and honesty, asserting that honesty is one of the most valued characteristics in leadership.

He also encouraged the gathering to send a strong message to all the respective native villages about the importance of the day and aspire to be a better citizen. He also exhorted to be selfless and work for the welfare of the people with transparency and outmost sincerity.

The order of the program was chaired by Phuzuhu Vero, while the invocation was led by Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, Pastor PTBC and welcome address was proposed by Zadulhu Ringa president (PDGBA). The program culminated with a word of gratitude shared by Mukhayi Veswuh and Benediction by Niepayi Venuh.
