The 43rd Angami Gazetted Officers’ Krotho general conference was held at AGOK Badze, Meriema on 27th February 2026.
Speaker and Peace Activists & Social Reformer, Niketu Iralu mentioned that we Nagas are threatened with immense crisis and therefore we have to be ready to response to the size and complexity of the crisis and further added that we must not forget that the crisis threatening us are the local, regional manifestation of the continental and global crisis.
He said today, APO and the powerful associated bodies under it, like AGOK have moved from the usual discussion of the subject as in the past, to evolving the new thinking, plan and action that one whole society has to understand and accept and to get involved, to confront the unprecedented crisis together to enable our people to progress into the future.
He also advised, to know the signs of the new times and how to respond them that is changing rapidly and uncontrollably.
President AGOK, Thejao Vihieno in his address acknowledge the AGOK for been working tirelessly and strategically for the betterment and welfare of the public and paving for the path for the youths, he also mentioned that, today in this fast changing society, protecting our environment has also become a top priority, Artificial intelligence and robotic era has come to replace and overcome us therefore he urged the leaders and the intellectuals to guide and think about the future of the youths
He also said that our most priceless possession is our children, therefore AGOK being the most intellectual organization among the Angamis should, guide, protect and encourage them. Vihieno added that, AGOK is also the most important ‘opinions makers’ and influential organization therefore, he urged them to work tirelessly and in unison with the APO for the betterment of our people.
In the conference, General Secretary, AGOK, Nongozo Rikha gave a detail report on the activities taken up from 2024 to 2026, General Secretary, SAGOK & Convenor, Audit Committee, Medoseho Sothu presented the Audit report.
Later, the house also declared to retain the members of the pervious tenure to continue further for the year 2026 to 2028.
