The 5th Edition of Inter-departmental Sports Meet 2025 under Bhandari Sub-division begins on 10th March 2025 at the Local ground Bhandari with MLA & Chairman SDPDB Bhandari, Achumbemo Kikon as special guest.
In his speech, Achumbemo appreciated the district Administration and government officers for organising the Inter-departmental sports meet, and stated that such sporting platform allows exhibiting one's talent and promote physical fitness.
Urging the participants to exhibit and promote discipline, friendship and team spirit, Kikon called upon the players to build working relationship with one another by creating an opportunity of knowing and encouraged each other through participating in the tournament. At the same time, Kikon further urged the officials to serve the people sincerely adhering to their assigned duties and responsibilities.
In his welcome address, EAC & Convener of the organizing committee, Kilangtemsu mentioned that the main objective of this sports meet is to foster understanding, co-operation and co-ordination among all the government Employees under Bhandari Sub-division.
Altogether 24 Departments under the sub-division participated in the tournament.
The inaugural program of the tournament was followed by a football match between Black team and Red team. The oath taking was administered by the match official, Athungo Mozhui.
