The 60th Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako YAA general session began at Shamator with Achumbemo Kikon, MLA & Chairman DPDB Bhandari, Government of Nagaland, Secretary General, Naga People's Front (NPF) as Special Guest.
In his address, Achumbemo Kikon stated that all the delegates were fortunate to be part of the Diamond Jubilee celebration. He spoke about the unity of the Nagas, from Naga Myanmar to other Naga-inhabited areas, and highlighted that despite being divided today by artificial international boundaries, no Naga is forward or backward, only our own mindset labels us so. He emphasized that each individual should reflect on how they can contribute to building society.
He urged students to make wise choices, whether in the use of mobile phones or in reading books that provide meaningful lessons. As the world continues to change rapidly, he encourages everyone to find positive ways to create a better future with greater responsibility.
He also appealed to the people of Shamator to cooperate in the development of the Headquarter, stressing that a clean environment is essential for the growth of the new Shamator. Finally, he thanked the YAA for inviting him and wished the conference great success.
He also unveiled the 60th Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako YAA and the Golden Jubilee monolith. The 60th general session of YAA marks a huge gathering of Yimkhiung students from Naga Mayanmar borders to Western zones.
The program also showcased the rich traditional heritage by Western Yimkhiung Students Union.
Earlier the program was compared by Lelimthong P. Yimkhiung & Lunsola T. Welcome address was delivered by T. Shitopong Convenor Organizing Committee YAA general conference, keynote address by Keyoungkhum K President YAA and vote of thanks was proposed by Toshikhiung general secretary YAA. Chuba Temjem Deputy Commissioner Shamator, Throngso President Yimkhiung Tribal Council, also exhorted the gathering.
