The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at the Dimapur District Sports Council (DDSC) Stadium, organized by the District Administration, Dimapur on 26th January 2025. The event was graced by Minister, Environment, Forests & Climate Change and Village Guards, C. L. John, who unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade and addressed the gathering.

The highlight of the celebration was the march-past comprising of the parade contingents - Dimapur Police Commissionerate led by ABSI Penlei, 15th NAP (IR) Mahila Battalion led by ABSI Vevolotu Curhah, Excise Directorate led by AIE Teisovizo Kense, Nagaland Home Guards led by ABSI Viboto H. Sumi, Ex-Servicemen led by Honorary Captain, Chembise Sangtam, Christian Higher Secondary School led by Pongwang, Zakiesato Memorial Higher Secondary School led by Priyojit, Neigulie Memorial High School led by Tanvir Rahman, 43rd Assam Rifles Band Platoon led by Havildar N. Adhikari. The march past was led by Parade Commander Zareni Yanthan (Probationer), NPS, assisted by second in command Solo Kath, ABI, Dimapur Police Commissionerate, and Parade BHM, Havildar Khekato Sema.

Students of Shri Digamber Jain Higher Secondary School and Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School presented patriotic songs. Traditional dances were presented by the Sumi and Garo Cultural Troupes.

Minister C. L. John also inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by various departments. The day concluded with a prize distribution ceremony for the best-performing contingents and beating of retreat led by the 43rd Assam Rifles Band Platoon.

MOKOKCHUNG:

       The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung on 26th January 2025 with Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in-charge of Home and Border Affairs, Nagaland, Yanthungo Patton unfurling the national flag and delivering the Republic Day speech.

Altogether, nine contingents comprising of DEF Mokokchung, 2nd NAP, 13th IRB, Home Guards, Ex-Servicemen, NCC MGHSS, Bharat Scouts & Guides and Pipe Band (2nd NAP) took part in the march past with Assistant Commandant, 2nd NAP Battalion, Alichen, Medemkala Tzudir as the Parade Commander and ABI, DEF Mokokchung, K. Meren Jamir as second in-command.

District Administration and District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Mission Shakti under the aegis of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, an initiative of the Ministry of Women & Child Development awarded commendation certificate to UBI Imlichila as BBBP Champion, who is presently serving in the capacity of Officer-in-Charge, Women Police Station, Mokokchung, for her commitment and dedicated services in promoting gender equality and ensuring the safety and dignity of women and girl child. The certificate was handed over by Deputy Chief Minister, Yanthungo Patton. 

Other highlights of the programme include cultural presentation by Aosungkum Cultural Club, Mokokchung village and Longsalong Cultural Club, Mokokchung.

The Deputy Chief Minister also inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by Agriculture Department, SARS Yisemyong, ATMA, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Department, Cooperation Department, Horticulture Department, District Rural Development Agency, Mokokchung District Legal Service Authority, Land Resources Department, District Industries Centre and Health & Family Welfare Department.

In the evening programme, an exhibition football match and penalty shootout (ladies) were played between Agri & Allied Departments & Engineering Wing Department and Rest of the departments.

Advisor, Law & Justice, Land Revenue, T. N. Mannen graced the 76th Republic Day celebration 2025 at Mon Local Ground as the special guest.

The Advisor unfurled the national flag and inspected the parade contingents. Then, he addressed the public with Republic Day message which was followed by the ceremonial march past comprising of ten contingents, namely 6th NAP, Tizit, DEF Mon, Village Guards, Ex-Servicemen, Wangkhao Government College, Mon, Mon Vale College, GHSS, Mon Town-A, St. John Higher Secondary School (Boys), St. John Higher Secondary School (Girls) and 6th NAP Pipe Band. H. Pongloi, SDPO Tizit was the Parade Commander.

Advisor T. N. Manen also inaugurated the stalls set up by different departments and societies.

Inter-ward Mon Town Best Christmas Decoration 2024 was awarded to Shantham ward, while Thamnan ward and Wagim Ward bagged 2nd and 3rd position respectively.

Highlights of the programme include cultural dance by Chen Area Nokten Union Mon Town and Shamnyu Ward, and Patriotic Songs by Samuel Konyak.

As part of the celebration, in the evening, an exhibition football match was played between DPDB XI and CSOs XI, with DPDB XI emerging as the winner. Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS was the Match Patron. There was a display of band followed by ‘Beating of Retreat’ ceremony by 6th NAP Pipe Band.

NOKLAK:

 Advisor, Treasuries & Accounts and Art & Culture, K. Konngam Konyak unfurled the national flag at Public Ground, Noklak Hq. on 26th January 2025 during the 76th Republic Day celebration. He took the rashtriya salute from nine parade contingents, namely 3rd NAP Noklak, Village Guards Yokao, Village Guards New Pangsha, GHSS Noklak, GHS Noklak, Christian High School, Noklak, St. Paul School Noklak, Holy Angel School Noklak and Assam Rifles Pipe Band, led by Assistant Commandant, 3rd NAP, Noklak, Tianungba Ao and second in command, ABSI Pengthong T. Parade review was carried out by Superintendent of Police Noklak, Thipuzhoyi.

Advisor Konngam also gave away the prizes to the meritorious girl students of HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2023 and 2024 under Noklak district, in commemoration of 10 years of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP). The awardees are Choin M of GHS Noklak and Chongtie P of GHSS Noklak.

The Advisor also inaugurated the exhibition stalls which were set up by various government departments, Noklak District Handloom & Handicrafts Council and Self Help Groups.

To mark the occasion, the district administration along with Heads of Offices and Red Cross Society Noklak Branch visited District Hospital, Noklak.

In the evening programme, an exhibition football match was played which was followed by beating of retreat by Frontier Pipe Band.

            The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex, Peren on 26th January 2025. 

The celebration began with unfurling of the national flag by the Minister of Public Health Engineering and Co-operation, N. Jacob Zhimomi, who also took the rashtriya salute from the parade contingents comprising of DEF, Peren, 9th NAP (IR), Saijang, Sainik School, Punglwa, All Saints Higher Secondary School, Peren, Peren Government College, Peren and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Jalukie, and led by SDPO Jalukie, Disani Newmai as the Commander and ABI, Abi Viloto S. Chishi as second in-command, ASI, Rampou Guing as the Platoon Commander.

Vibrant display of cultural presentation by Rongmei Cultural Troupe, Drum Ensemble by PM Shri Government High School, DC Colony Peren and a special presentation by Pauramdibe Mpom and Kenlumyile Ngia marked the highlights of the celebration.

The special guest also inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by various Agri & Allied Departments and Self Help Groups.

To mark the celebration, visitation of Sub-Jail, Peren and District Hospital, Peren was carried out by Peren Town Council and ZOAN respectively, while Children Home, Peren was visited by IRCS & DHEW, Peren.

          The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at Tuensang with Minister, Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse as the special guest on 26th January 2025 at Parade Ground, Tuensang.

The Minister unfurled the national flag and took the rashtriya salute from eight parade contingents comprising of DEF Tuensang, 3rd NAP Tuensang, Home Guards & Civil Defence, Village Guards, Tuensang, Village Ex-Servicemen, NCC, Sao Chang College, Saramati Scouts and Guides and 3rd NAP and Hauhyang Chuba Pipe Band, and led by Parade Commander, Hoping Chang, Dy. SP (Reserve). She also delivered the Republic Day speech.

Other highlights of the day were special presentation by Tuensang District Taekwondo Association, Dog Show by the 29 Assam Rifles Tuensang, and cultural presentation by Changen Cultural Club, Sangli Cultural Troupe, Khiamniungan Cultural Club, Kemifu Club and Tikhir Liujong Pia Lui Dancing Troupe. Minister Salhoutuonuo Kruse also inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by ATMA, Horticulture Department, Soil & Water Conservation Department, Agriculture Department, KVV, Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Department, NSRLM, Land Resources Department, Industries & Commerce Department, District Legal Services and Co-operative Bank Tuensang. ZUNHEBOTO:

In Zunheboto, the 76th Republic Day was celebrated with Advisor for Industries & Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu as the special guest on 26th January 2025 at Local Ground, Zunheboto.

The special guest unfurled the national flag and took rastriya salute from the eight contingents, led by Parade Commander, Assistant Commandant, Nisazolie Zutso and ABI, Sihu Angami with Parade CHM, Honizhe Aye.

The highlights of the programme include a special number by Kihikali H. Zhimo, a folk song by the Department of Art & Culture, and an exhibition football match between DPDB XI and NGOs XI.

KIPHIRE:

            Kiphire celebrated the 76th Republic Day on 26th January 2025 at the Local Ground with Advisor, Agriculture, Mhathung Yanthan as the special guest.

Mhathung Yanthan unfurled the national flag, read out the Republic Day speech and took the rashtriya salute from six contingents led by Parade Commander, Assistant Commandant, E Company, 3rd NAP Kiphire and Pipe Band from 41 Assam Rifles Kiphire. The parade was reviewed by Superintendent of Police, Kiphire.

Yanthan also inaugurated and inspected the exhibition stalls set up by various government agencies and Self-Help-Groups (SHG).

 Other highlights of the programme were presentation of ‘Vande Mataram’ by Ase Jasmine, and ‘India Waale' by Alvin Mongzar. Folk songs were presented by Sumi Totimi Kiphire, Tikhir Women Union Kiphire Town and a folk dance was presented by Kiphire Village Khudi Nyuchiru Mulung.

An exhibition volleyball match was played between Langzanger village and Kiphire village, Kisetong village and Longthonger village. Beating of retreat was presented by DEF Kiphire.

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated in Longleng with Advisor, Tribal Affairs and Election, H. Tovihoto Ayemi as the special guest on 26th January 2025 at the Public Play Ground.

The special guest unfurled the national flag and inspected the ceremonial parade contingents, delivered the Republic Day speech, and took the rashtriya salute from six parade contingents comprising of DEF Longleng, 12th NAP (IR) Chingtok, 12th NAP (IR) Band Party Chingtok, Village Guards, Bautung Government Higher Secondary School, Longleng,Yingli Government College, Longleng.

The special guest also inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by various departments. The highlights of the programme include Tug of war in 11 Wards and exhibition football match (DPDB 11 Vs CSOs, NGOs). The event culminated with beating of retreat by DEF, Longleng.

Advisor for Transport and Technical Education, Temjenmenba graced the occasion of the 76th Republic Day held at Local Ground, Phek Headquarter, on 26th January 2025 as special guest. 

Advisor Temjenmenba unfurled the national flag and delivered the 76th Republic Day speech. He also inspected the parade contingents and also took the rashtriya salute from five parade contingents, namely DEF Phek, 5th NAP Battalion Phek, 39 Assam Rifles Phek, Home Guards and NCC, led by Parade Commander, Assistant Commandant, Vedehu Theluo, NPS, 5th NAP Phek, Second-in-Command, ABI, Keviletuo Soliezuo of DEF Phek, and Parade CHM, Havildar C. Chonbenthung Tungoe of DEF Phek. 

The special guest also inaugurated the exhibition stalls put up by various departments.

Highlights of the celebration programme were indigenous tune presented by Vesulu Tetseo & Shezovolu Chizo, felicitation of women and girls local champions in different disciplines by the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Phek, special performance by Kukhruno Khamo, and a cultural dance by Bible Hill Ward.

WOKHA:

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at Local Ground, Wokha on 26th January 2025 with Minister for Roads & Bridges, G. Kaito Aye as the special guest, who unfurled the national flag, took the rashtriya salute and inspected the parade contingents.

Seven parade contingents took part in the ceremonial march. Cultural performances were presented by the Wokha Town Longsa Women Cultural Troupe, Wokha Town Akuk Cultural Club, and One Act Play by Santsuo School, Wokha.

The special guest inaugurated the exhibition stalls which were set up by various government departments and self-help groups from the district. The Department of Agriculture showcased and sold a variety of agricultural products, including cabbage, millets, and ginger. The Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Wokha offered items such as roselle jam, gooseberry, sugarcane, and oranges. The Wokha District Small Tea Grower Association exhibited and sold a variety of tea products, while the Panton Bazaar featured honey products.

Various self-help groups also participated including Rose Valley SHG, Yanthanro SHG, and Tsankvu SHG showcased agricultural products, fruit juice, and bamboo crafts. The Wokha Circle Federation, under RD Block Wokha, sold mustard oil and demonstrated squash and ornaments.

The Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Department offered fresh fish, while the Charity Circle Wokha displayed and sold shawls and ornaments. The CMO and District Hospital Wokha provided a free medical testing camp and distributed pamphlets on various diseases and treatment plans. The Wokha District Legal Service Authority showcased products made by inmates of the District Jail Wokha. Senchum SHG from Thenhyayan Village and the Divisional Management Unit Wokha also featured chips, candies, and fruit juice.

NIULAND:

            Niuland celebrated the 76th Republic Day celebrations at the Public Ground on 26th January 2025 with Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in-charge of Planning & Transformation and National Highways, Nagaland, T. R. Zeliang as the special guest.

The event commenced with the unfurling of the national flag by T. R. Zeliang and inspection of the parade contingents. Highlights of the day include presentation of District Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations for their exemplary contributions to the district. A special performance was presented by Kupuka Chishi, TaFMA Ambassador for Niuland district, a cultural folk song was presented by the women of Niuland town, while men from Tokishe village showcased a traditional folk dance, reflecting the region's rich cultural heritage.

The event also featured the inauguration of exhibition stalls by Deputy Chief Minister, T. R. Zeliang. At the evening programme, a tug-of-war match was played between the District Collector/DCP team and Heads of Offices. The celebrations concluded with the ceremonial beating of the retreat.

CHUMOUKEDIMA:

            On the auspicious day of the 76th Republic Day, the district administration of Chumoukedima district marked the day with great enthusiasm on 26th January 2025 at Samogooting Stadium, DC Complex, Chumoukedima.

On arrival, Minister, Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along unfurled the national flag and inspected the parade contingents, namely 15th NAP, 22 Assam Rifles, 15th Mahila IR, Ex-Servicemen, Patkai Army Wing, Patkai Air Wing, Tetso College and GHSS Chumoukedima. The parade commander of the march past was Ekant Jain, IPS and Parade Second in-command was Kahito, ABI, 15th NAP. The Minister also delivered the Republic Day address.

To mark the day, cultural presentation of folk dance and songs were presented by Kuki Cultural Troupe, Kachari Cultural Troupe, Lotha Cultural Troupe, Sumi Cultural Troupe, Chakhesang Cultural Troupe, Gorkha Cultural Troupe and Sangtam Cultural Troupe. Special presentations were also presented by Hebron Higher Secondary School, Sovima, followed by inauguration of exhibition stalls by Minister Temjen Imna Along. The day ended with beating of retreat by 22 AR, Medziphema.

TSEMINYU:

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at RSA Ground, Tseminyu on 26th January 2025 with Minister for Housing and Mechanical Engineering, P. Bashangmongba Chang as the special guest.

Bashangmongba Chang unfurled the national flag and took the rashtriya salute from the parade contingents comprising of 4th NAP (B Coy), GHSS-NCC, BHSS, DBS-NCC and Ex-Servicemen. He also delivered the Republic Day speech.

Other highlights of the day include cultural item presented by Terogvunyu Chupwe Tseminyu area. The District Administration and District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Tseminyu under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao felicitated Amina Yesmen of DBS Tseminyu for her outstanding achievement in securing the Top 15 position during HSLC Examination 2024.

During the programme, the Minister also inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by various departments under Tseminyu district. This was followed by the beating of retreat by 4th NAP (B Coy), Tseminyu.

SHAMATOR:

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at Public Ground, Shamator on 26th January 2025 with Advisor, Minority Affairs and Sericulture, Imkongmar as the special guest.

The special guest unfurled the national flag, took rashtriya salute from six parade contingents and delivered the Republic Day speech.

Taekwondo Demonstration was presented by the Shamator District Taekwondo Association. Cultural presentation were performed by Mongtsüwong Cultural Troupe, Shamator town, Thopün Cultural Troupe, Shamator town, and Shamator Village Cultural Troupe. 

Advisor Imkongmar also inaugurated the exhibition stalls which were set up by various departments.

In the evening programme, there was an exhibition cricket match between DPDB Vs. 14th AR XI, and an exhibition football match between DC XI Vs. All Wards XI. The 76th Republic Day celebration programme culminated with the beating of retreat by 14th AR Shamator.

MELURI:

At Meluri, the 76th Republic Day was celebrated on 26th January 2025 at the Public Ground with Advisor, New & Renewable Energy and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe as the special guest.

Nyuthe unfurled the national flag and took the rashtriya salute from the parade contingents comprising of St. Xavier Higher Secondary School, Meluri, Christian Mission Higher Secondary School Meluri, VGs of Meluri and Akhegwo and VGs Pipe Band of Meluri, led by ABSI Nungsang Chuba as the parade commander and parade second- in command, Hav. Pongrhong Konyak.

The special guest also visited the various exhibition stalls displayed by Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, BDO of Meluri and Wazeho block and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Department. 

The highlights of the day include cultural dance by male and female cultural troupe of Meluri Area Public Organisation .

Mhalo unfurled the national flag, took rashtriya salute and read out the Republic Day message. The programme was attended by the Government officials and public leaders.

Aghunato Headquarter celebrated the 76th Republic Day celebration at ADC’s Office with ADC, Ahgunato, D. Robin as the special guest.

The special guest unfurled the national flag, received rashtriya salute from 8th NAP Naltoga. He also read out the Republic Day message. National anthem was sung by the students of DBS Aghunato. An exhibition penalty shootout was also held at Aghunato Local Ground.

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at ADC’s Office Complex, Tizit on 26th January 2025 with ADC, Tizit, Zhoi Lohe as the special guest.

The ADC unfurled the national flag and took rashtriya salute from 6th NAP, Tizit and delivered the Republic Day speech. The National Anthem was presented by M. Jon School, Tizit and a special number by Manlih Konyak.

The day was also marked by hoisting of the national flag in all the government offices, educational and private institutions.

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated on 26th January 2025, at the office compound of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Atoizu, Zunheboto with Chief Guest, ADC, Atoizu, Nukutulu S. Venuh, NCS.

Nukutulu S. Venuh unfurled the national flag, followed by the rashtriya salute and the national anthem sung by St Peter's School, Atoizu.

Highlights of the programme include the Republic Day speech by the ADC, Atoizu and a special performance by Khelhoshe Polytechnic, Atoizu.

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) HQ. Office Complex, Seyochung, Kiphire on 26th January 2025 with ADC, Seyochung, Imsenperong.

Bhandari Sub-division, Wokha district celebrated the 76th Republic Day on 26th January 2025 at the Public Sports Ground.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bhandari, Longasen Lotha NCS unfurled the national flag as the chief guest and delivered the Republic Day speech.

MANGKOLEMBA:

Mangkolemba Sub-division, Mokokchung commemorated the 76th Republic Day at the Public Ground on 26th January 2025.

 Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Moakumzuk Tzudir unfurled the national flag, took the rashtriya salute, and delivered the Republic Day address.

The march past was led by the 2nd NAP 'E' Company, with participation from Government Higher Secondary School, Mangkolemba, and Baptist Higher Secondary School, Mangkolemba, as part of the parade contingent.

ABOI:

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at the Local Ground, Aboi, Mon on 26th January 2025 with ADC, Phuleshe K Yepthomi, NCS as the chief guest.

The chief guest unfurled the national flag and delivered the Republic Day speech, and received the salute from the parade contingents.

Later, the chief guest inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by various departments. The national anthem was sung by the Government Polytechnic, Aboi, and a vibrant cultural dance was performed by the KNSK Aboi unit, which was followed by an inter-ward tug of war.

The programme culminated with the beating of the retreat by the Aboi Police Band. The event was attended by different government departments and the public.

JAKHAMA:

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at Jakhama Sub-division on 26th January 2025 at the SDO (C) Office premises, Kohima with SDO (Civil), Jakhama, Nockpai Konyak NCS, unfurling the national flag and delivering the Republic Day speech. He also received the rashtriya salute from Khuzama Police Station personnel.

The programme was attended by government employees and dobashis.

TOBU:

The 76th Republic Day was observed at Tobu, Mon with Shaying Sheu, ADC, Tobu as the chief guest on 26th January 2025.

ADC Shaying Sheu unfurled the national flag, took the rashtriya salute from 6th NAP, Tobu and read out the Republic Day speech.

MEDZIPHEMA:

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at ADC’s Office Complex, Medziphema Sub-division on 26th January 2025 with ADC, Medziphema, P. James Swu gracing the occasion as the chief guest.

The chief guest unfurled the national flag, took the rashtriya salute and delivered the Republic Day speech. The Medziphema Police Station participated in the march past led by B. Longshibemo Lotha THC.

The winners of the painting and drawing competition on the theme ‘Girls vision for the future’ which was held on 8th October 2024 were felicitated at the programme. The celebration of the Republic Day was attended by all the Heads of Offices and government officials under Medziphema Sub-division.

CHIEPHOBOZOU:

The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at ADC’s office premises, Chiephobozou, Kohima on 26th January 2025 with ADC, Chiephobozou, Alemyapang Longchar NCS unfurling the national flag and delivering the Republic Day speech.

The ADC also received the rashtriya salute from 10 IR Battalion, Zhadima. The programme was attended by government officials, NGOs and the general public.

LONGKHIM:

At Longkhim, the 76th Republic Day was held on 26th January 2025 at ADC’s Office, graced by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Anoka H Assumi as the special guest.

The special guest unfurled the national flag and delivered the Republic Day speech. The programme was attended by Heads of Offices, Government Employees, Dobashis, Gaonburas and Civil Society Organizations.

TULI:

Tuli celebrated the 76th Republic Day at ADC’s Office Complex with ADC, Tuli, Relise Sangtam unfurling the national flag and taking the rashtriya salute. The celebration was attended by all the heads of offices and their staff, councillors, village heads and representatives from various wards. 

A collaborative visit to the orphanage in Tuli Sub-Division, Mokokchung on 26th January 2025 was undertaken by the Tuli Town Councillors, the Sub-Divisional Officer (NH), the SDO (Electrical) and the Executive Engineer PWD (R&B).

The purpose of the visit was to extend support to the orphans residing in the orphanage by providing necessary supplies, fostering goodwill, and ensuring that basic needs are addressed, to improve their quality of life. The visit provided an opportunity to understand the needs and challenges faced by the orphanage. The donated items including various food items and toiletries were well-received and are expected to significantly support the daily requirements of the residents.

This visit underscores the importance of collective efforts in uplifting the underprivileged sections of society. Such initiatives reflect a strong commitment to community service by the elected representatives and the officials posted in that area.

TAMLU:

Tamlu Sub-division celebrated the 76th Republic Day at the Local Ground on 26th January 2025 with Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tamlu, T. Lankonsen Tsanglao as the guest of honour.

ADC Lankonsen unfurled the national flag, inspected the ceremonial parade contingents, and delivered the Republic Day speech. He also took the rashtriya salute from parade contingents comprising of Tamlu Hq. VG, Tamlu village VG 2 contingents and Kangching village VG.

A traditional tune was performed by Dobashis, Tamlu and a contemporary song was presented by Anglen Beshang. An exhibition football match was played between ADC XI Vs Police XI, followed by the beating of retreat by ‘E’ Coy, 6th NAP, Tamlu.

PUGHOBOTO:

Pughoboto Sub-division under Zunheboto district observed the 76th Republic Day on 26th January 2025 at the Office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Pughoboto.

ADC, Pughoboto, Tiameren Chang, NCS gracing the ceremony as the chief guest, unfurled the national flag, received the rashtriya salute from the parade contingents and delivered the Republic Day address. The National Anthem was sung by members of the Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SAKK). The celebration ended with the beating of retreat.

PUNGRO:

Pungro celebrated the 76th Republic day 2025 at the Public Ground on 26th January 2025 with chief guest, S. Kiusumew Yimchunger, Advisor, Fire & Emergency Services, Home Guards & Civil Defence, Relief & Rehabilitation unfurling the national flag and inspecting the parade contingents.

The chief guest also took the rashtriya salute from the parade contingents comprising of 8th NAP ‘C’ Coy, Phuvkiu Nagaland Village Guard, Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Christian School, Government Higher Secondary School and Mount Horeb Baptist School. Melodies beat was performed by Zhimkiur Village Guard, Vande Mataram was sung by Torila and a folk song was presented by Shotang Berü Pungro town.

Advisor S. Kiusumew Yimchunger also inaugurated the exhibition stalls set up by Department of Agriculture and Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission under Rural Development, Khongsa block and Pungro block. Martial Arts was demonstrated by Taewondo Association Pungro and Open Penalty Shootout Tournament was organised by Loyinlo FC Pungro.
