Niuland District celebrated 77th Republic Day at Niuland Public Ground on 26th Jan 2026 with Minister of PHED & Co-operation, Government of Nagaland, Jacob Zhimomi as the Special Guest.
Upon arrival, the Minister unfurled the National Flag and took Rashtriya salute from 9 Parade contingents under the command of Asst. Commandant Dr, Nongothung Yanthan.
The minister while delivering the Republic Day Speech highlighted the various government initiatives and achievements of the state government. He also handed over the District Commendation Award to the 9 officers and staffs during the programme.
The programme also witnessed special presentation from Alino Chishi & folk dance, folk song from Old Showuba village and Nguvihe village.
The Special Guest also inaugurated 19 exhibition stalls set up by various government departments and organisations.
