The 77th Republic Day was celebrated on 26th January 2026 at Public Ground Pughoboto, Zunheboto with MLA, Dr. Sukhato A Sema as the Special Guest.
The Special Guest upon arrival unfurled the National flag and took the Rashtriya salute. National Anthem was sang by Lazami Students Union, the special guest inspected 5 parade contingents led by 8th NAP (A) coy, two contingents from Mishilimi Students Union and two contingents from Pughoboto Students Union.
Dr. Sukhato also commissioned ambulances for Pughoboto and Ghatashi PHC and distributed solar lights, Auto Sprayers & Ginger processor.
Other highlights included folk song by Elders of Mishilimi Yepaqa; Men exhibition football match between MLA X1 Vs SDPDB X1 and Women volleyball match between SDPDB Vs CSOs.
