G-Sports Mokokchung lifted the 5th Padmashree W. Nokdenlemba Open Volleyball Tournament 2024 defeating United Changki in the final match played at Multi Purpose Sport Complex, Mokokchung on 11th October 2024. Organized by Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (Ao Students’ Conference) under the theme “One Team One Spirit”, the closing function was graced by Advisor, Information & Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation, Imkong L. Imchen as the guest of honour.

Imkong in his address said that as the tournament was organized in honour of the respected leader, W. Nokdenlemba, he called on everyone to remember his legacy. He also called upon the gathering to the honour his vision and wisdom in the inception of Ao Students’ Conference in the year 1929. He also added that they will be celebrating 100 years in 2029 at Waromong, the native village of the founding father of AKM.

The Advisor stated that the Naga youth have the potential to grow, take on the role of leadership and shine in every aspect of life. He urged the youth to be courageous to take on the role of leadership in order to bring about changes in the society. He also urged the AKM leaderships to be more active to lead the youth in all fields of life so that future generations of youth can take up the mantle of their predecessors.

Earlier in the program, invocation was pronounced by Rev. L. Tia Jamir Pastor Alichen Baptish Church while Putusenla enthralled the crowd with a special song. The program was led by Imolemla and vote of thanks was shared by President, AKM, Lanutoshi Aier.
