The evening programme marking the celebration of the 77th Republic Day, 2026 was held at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza, Kohima on 26th January 2026. Abhijit Sinha, IAS, Home Commissioner and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Government of Nagaland, graced the programme as the chief guest.

During the programme, Prize distribution was carried out for the exhibition stalls, participating parade contingents and football teams.

Under Exhibition Stalls, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Nagaland stall which featured exhibition-cum-sale of local eggs, dairy products, live rabbits and quails, animal feed products, and distribution of educational flyers bagged the 1st Prize in the Exhibition. While the Department of Land Resources and the Department of Sericulture were placed in the second and third position respectively.

In the Parade Contingent (Uniformed) category, Tripura Police secured first position, followed by 15th NAP (IR) Mahila Battalion in second place and Home Guards, Civil Defence & SDRF in third place.

In the Parade Contingent (Non-Uniformed) category, NCC (Girls) won first prize, NCC (Boys) secured second position, while Bharat Scouts & Guides stood third.

The award for the Best Parade Commander was conferred to Z. Tshurhosie Kajiri, NPS, Deputy Commandant, 5th NAP Battalion, while the award for Best Second-in-Command was awarded to Gurpreet Kaur, IPS (Probationer).

A football exhibition match was played between Kohima District Football Association and Morning Premier League, which ended in 1-1 draw. 

Band displays were presented by the 13 Assam Rifles Pipe Band, Nagaland Police PTS Brass Band and Nagaland Police Auxiliary Brass Band. The programme concluded with the Beating of Retreat.
