Sub Divisional Planning and Developmental Board Bhandari held felicitation programme for three toppers from Bhandari sub division, Wokha in the concluded HSLC and HSSLC exam 2025 was held at the conference hall of the Summer House-Cum-Guest House, Bhandari on 9th May 2025.

Benrithung Ovung son of Thungjamo Ovung from Koro village, a student from St. John Higher Secondary School, Dimapur secured Top 5 (b) position in Science Stream; Lorenchumi R. Humtsoe, daughter of L. Rhonthungo Humtsoe, New Ralan Village, from Little Star Higher Secondary School Dimapur, secured Top 6 in Arts stream, while Chumlanthung Ranthang, son of Renbi Ranthang, Baghty Village, from Queen Mary School, Mokokchung secured Top 20 (a) in HSLC examination 2025.

MLA and Chairman SDPDB Bhandari, Achumbemo Kikon, speaking in the Felicitation programme congratulated the toppers for bringing laurels not only to their Schools, villages and the Sub division in particular but to the Lotha Community in general. Stating that it was indeed a proud moment for all, he encouraged them to continue working hard to achieve their set goals and to inspire their peers and younger students to follow in their footstep.

While congratulating all the successful candidates, Kikon further said the three toppers have shown that students from Bhandari sub division have potential and capacity to achieve academic excellence and secure top positions. If students and teachers continuously strive by giving their best, they will stand second to none, he added.

Rev. Longshithung Mozhui, Pastor, Baptist Church, Bhandari Town pronounced prayers of blessings for the toppers and all successful candidates. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman, SDPDB Bhandari, Longasen Lotha delivered vote of thanks.

The toppers were felicitated with certificate commendation and cash awards.
