The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio inaugurated the International Morung, the Hornbill festival app, Dormitory for cultural troupes, Marketing Complex of Handloom & Craft Pavilion, Medical Booth cum Cash Vending facility, Toyota Ki and Tourism Department lounge to commemorate the 25th Edition of Hornbill festival at Kisama on 26th November 2024.
The CM applauded the local artisans, workers and everyone involved in it and who has been working day and night to complete the physical structure of the hornbill festival at Kisama. He stated that Hornbill festival is no more a Naga festival rather it has become and international festival attracting tourist from all over the globe, and mentioned that we have international partners now to celebrate as well as boost our economy.
He also said that Hornbill festival will not only be confined to ten days but encouraged all the tribes dwelling in the state capital who are not able to attend their native festival at their home towns to celebrate and use the facilities at Kisama so that we can preserve our traditions and culture and showcase it all round the year.
