The monthly DPDB meeting of Chumoukedima was held on 12th May, 2025 at DPDB Conference Hall, Chumoukedima under the chairmanship of Advisor, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio.
The meeting commenced with the last meeting review, followed by a welcome address from chairman & Advisor, Zhaleo Rio and Advisor Industries & Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu kense. The house after a brief deliberation forwarded the Society Registration of Yimkhiung Soritsun Women Cultural Society, at ward 5; Forerunner Nagaland Foundation, at Diphupar Village; and Block-5 Welfare Society, at Thilixu Village. However, Riverine Educational Society, at Thilixu Village and Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Society, at Diphupar 'B' Village were deferred in the next DPDB meeting.
Other agenda discussed were Upgradation of DIPR Office at Medziphema Sub-Division; Proposal for creation of District Welfare Officer (DWO) Post in Chumoukedima District; proposal for separate Fire Station in Medzhiphema, where the house after deliberations have approve and forwarded for recommendations.
Later, PowerPoint presentation was presented by Nodal Officer, DDMA, Rendemo, where he highlighted the Disaster preparedness status, structures, action plan for monsoon preparedness and also monsoon preparedness plan by line department. Relating to monsoon preparedness, the house agreed to have a mass social work on Saturday, 17th May, 2025.
The board entrusted the District Child Protection Officer to present the departmental activities of the district in the next meeting.
