The Nagaland Education Project, the lighthouse (NECTAR) under the department of School Education convened a consultative meeting with the members of the Tseminyu District Committee for Lighthouse School under NECTAR project on 24th January 2025 at DC office conference hall Tseminyu, with regards to the upcoming lighthouse school complex construction in the district.
DC Tseminyu, Rohit Singh, IAS thanked the committee for explaining the work in detail and asked to start as soon as possible. Assuring that the district administration will give all support as when required and urged the committee to monitor the project from time to time. The DC also informed that there is no report of objection for the land and has no issues for the construction.
Deputy Project Director, Avelu Ruho explained the structure of the school complex and the availability of the site that was required for school activities. Asserting the current rural education situation in the state, she said that many started their early education from government school in rural areas. She therefore requested the community to support the construction of the school complex in the district, expected to be completed within 18th months.
Social Associate, Ransom Lungleng said that the complex is funded by the world bank and gave a brief assessment and management of environment, social risk and impact community, health and safety culture heritage to be preserved and water problem to be careful of by the plan.
The meeting was attended by district heads and representatives from various civil society organisations.
