The Peren district stakeholders’ Consultative workshop for VIKSIT Nagaland 2047 Vision Document was held on 20th April 2026 at DC’s Conference Hall, Peren.
Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru welcomed all the stakeholders for their kin interest and coming forward. Hiazu Meru stated that VIKSIT Bharat 2047 is the Government of India's ambitious Vision to transform the nation into fully developed, prosperous and self-reliant country by 2047. He stated that this will also mark 100 years of Independence for the economic growth into modern infrastructure development, social empowerment and self-sustainability.
The DC also said that the Consultative Workshop for VIKSIT Nagaland is the aspirations to be recognised as a developed nation with significant milestone. The initiative represents the Government of India's ambitious vision to transform India into a developed country by 2047.
The group was organised and divided into five thematic groups and discussed the strategies prioritising growth of marginalized and remote populations of the district were addressed. Each breakout group presented a summary of their inputs and their recommend policy on what they have discussed.
A brief PowerPoint presentation was presented by the district line department on the five SWG Pillars: Economic, Social, Environment, Infrastructure and Governance.
