A Co-ordination meeting of all Head of Department for Pungro subdivision was successfully conducted under the newly Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Hotolu Sema, NCS, Pungro at ADC Office on 12th May 2026.
In the meeting various department heads highlighted the projects undertaken and the ongoing programmes in the subdivision. They also put forward challenges faced by each department while highlighting their departmental activities.
Some key details discussed were the awareness programme and the ongoing vaccination for HPV undertaken by the Community Health Centre, Pungro. Successful completion of free distribution of textbooks by the Department of School Education and uniforms, and maintaining the average teacher: student ratio. Distribution of free machinery and seeds to be undertaken by the Agriculture Department. Rural Development Department highlighted on the lack of labour driven workforce under the newly renamed PMG-VBG (previously name as MGNERGA), while also mentioning it's root cause of digitization and their way forward to handle this issue. The issue of lack of proper documentation process for ILP under Pungro was also highlighted by OC Pungro, while ADC Pungro assured cooperation with the police to find feasible solution to this. The ongoing process of adoption of smart meter was highlighted by SDO (Electrical). SDO (R&B) notified the ongoing projects under their department. The issue of water scarcity due to the depletion of the two major water sources was highlighted by the PHED department. While the Khongsa Aspirational Block spoke about successful completion of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 and to install NITI TARA at ADC office, Pungro. The Social welfare department highlighted the success of Poshan Tracker initiative and the well-maintained workers to population ratio. Post office highlighted on the progress of their department.
ADC Pungro in his concluding remark focus on the importance of teamwork and how well one department can supplement the other by coming together through meetings like this and finding solutions through brainstorming together. He also maintained to have co-ordination meeting in every three months.
