A coordination meeting with various departments was held at the Deputy Commissioner's office in Chümoukedima on 19th of October 2024, to conduct the 7th Edition of annual Nagaland emergency preparation Exercise (NEPEx) 2024 on earthquake scenario. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Chumukedima, Polan John, NCS where he focused on ensuring effective collaboration and preparedness among all concerned departments.

He said that The mock drill, aimed at enhancing disaster response and management capabilities, will involve multiple agencies working together to simulate emergency scenarios. The Deputy Commissioner, emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination to ensure the drill’s success and urged all departments to actively engage in the preparation process and ensure that their personnel and equipment are ready for the drill.
