In preparation for emergency situations, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Dimapur will conduct a Mega Mock Drill Exercise on 24th October 2024 as part of the annual Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx). The exercise, simulating an earthquake scenario, will be held at seven vulnerable sites across the city: the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Government College, Government Higher Secondary School Lingrijan, Forest Department Residential Area, Pantaloons Shopping Mall, Primary Health Centre (PHC) Duncan Bosti, and Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Dimapur Depot.

The mock drill is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM, and the public is urged not to panic and to cooperate with authorities. Normal traffic flow will be affected on certain routes during the exercise as part of safety measures.

Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, NCS, who is also the Chairman of the DDMA, issued this notice in the interest of public awareness.
