In view of hazard posed by fire during the dry season, the Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru issued an order directing the public to refrain from rampant burning of jungle.

All the Administrative Officers are also informed and directed to bring this to the notice of the village councils to remain vigilant, and to inform their villagers and take necessary measures to check rampant burning of jungle within their respective jurisdiction.

The DC further informed that failure to comply with the directive shall invite strict action against the concerned village council.
