Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru along with the District Officials visited Ngwalwa Extra Assistant Commissioner Office and interacted with the Village Council on 28th March, 2025. During the visit various activities were conducted, including Aadhaar Enrolment, PMMVY awareness and registration, Entrepreneurs awareness and financial literacy camp, Medical Camp and CMHIS/ CMLIS registration.

The Medical Department also organised a free medical camp at Ngwalwa headquarter where villagers, both young and old received medical treatment at no cost.

Addressing the gathering, DC Peren stated that the purpose of his visit was to facilitate better transparency between government departments and villagers. He urged the residents to take advantage of the government schemes and services available to them. Reflecting on his tenure as EAC at Ngwalwa, he expressed happiness over the progress made in various sectors. He also lauded the Medical Department for its consistent service at the Public Health Centre (PHC) in Ngwalwa.

During a meeting with the Village Council, DC Meru emphasized the importance of education and hard work for economic development at the village and district levels. He highlighted the region’s potential for agriculture, encouraging villagers to cultivate vegetables and plants for commercial purposes to boost their economic status.

As part of his visit, DC Peren also inspected Ngwalwa Government High School, where he interacted with students and faculty. He motivated the students to excel in their studies and urged the teachers to continue their dedicated efforts for the betterment of the children’s future.

Furthermore, he called upon the villagers to cooperate with the government in implementing developmental projects in their jurisdiction in order to bring fast developmental activities in the district. He advised them to channel their grievances through proper procedures instead of resorting to hasty actions.

Officials from various departments, including Fisheries, Horticulture, Social Welfare, Agriculture, Electricity, DRDA, Medical, and Land Resources, educated the villagers on the benefits of government schemes.

The programme was presided over by EAC Ngwalwa, Sizing Rentta and invocation prayer was led by Heileulung, Pastor Ngwalwa Town Baptist Church while the vote of thanks was delivered by Kiepeube Zehuny, Chairman Ngwalwa Village Council.
