The Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, DDMA, Mon, Wennyei Konyak handed over Ex-gratia relief to the Next of Kin of 8 deceased persons who lost their lives due to the landslide at Thamnan Ward, Mon Town on 19th July 2026.

The Ex-gratia amount of ₹4,00,000. (Four Lakhs) per deceased was handed over as per SDRF norms. The deceased are: Late Thenkhao Konyak; Late Tingyuh Konyak, Late Taotun Konyak; Late Toithron Konyak; Late Kenlong Konyak; Late Lunglei L. Konyak; Late Pangho Konyak and Late Pomei Konyak.

The relief was handed over in the presence of ADC & CEO, DDMA Mon, President, Konyak Union (KU) and President, Konyak Students’ Union (KSU)
