In commemoration of 150th Birth anniversary of Sadar Vallabhbhai Patel, District Level Padyatra with Unity March was organised by My Bharat Mon in coordination with District Administration Mon, on 24th November 2025 from Mon helipad to Town Council Hall, Mon.

Games & Sports Secretary, Konyak Students’ Union, Y Chingkap Konyak in his speech remind the life of Sadar Vallabhbhai Patel, shared the significance of the Day and encouraged the students and the gathering to continue this spirit and March every day with unity, peace and prosperity.   Later he flagged off  the Unity March.

In the Presidential Address, Chingkem Konyak, UDA, DSO (Sports) Mon, said that the Unity March is a nation-wide event, launched by the ministry of Youth affairs and sports to engage youths in nation building and instil a sense of patriotism. It manifests unity in diversity of the Great nation India. He urged the gathering to commit oneself to peace and unity and march together as one Nation, one Spirit in celebration of Sadar Vallabhbhai Patel’s legacy, ‘unity march’.

At the programme after the National Song it was followed by administering of the unity pledge by T. Imlongchaba Chang, NCS, EAC Mon HQ. Cultural Song was presented by Brawny Young Men’s Society, Mon Town and a youth speech was delivered by the students of Government High School Mon Town ‘C’ and GHSS Mon.

The programme was chaired by Kum. Kedoseno Rino, NCS, EAC Mon Hq. Invocation was pronounced by Changki, Pastor Tompang Ward Fellowship Mon. The programme concluded with Vote of thanks by T. Imlongchaba Chang, followed by the National Anthem.
