Fire service week was observed at Fire Station, Kiphire from 14th to 20th April 2026, under the theme: "Save School, Safe Hospital & Fire Safety Awareness Society - Together for Fire Prevention" organised by the Nagaland Fire & Emergency Services, Fire Station Kiphire. This annual event honours the brave firefighters who laid down their lives in line of duty, holding historical significance as it commemorates the anniversary of the tragic Bombay Dock Explosion of 1944. It is one of the most Indian's devastating fire disasters, where numerous fire personnels perished while battling massive fires and explosions. Their courage and sacrifice continue to inspire the fire service fraternity nationwide.

The week-long program featured fire safety drills and demonstrations, along with an essay competition aimed at boosting fire safety awareness in schools, healthcare institutions, and community gathering areas. Sports events were also organised across all units, aligning with the Fit India Movement.

The week-long program concluded with the announcement of essay competition winners. Suli T Sangtam took the first prize, followed by Ivy C. Sure in the second and Suzila L Sangtam in the third place. A total of 19 students from class 10 and 12 of Agape Higher Secondary School, Kiphire participated in the competition.
