Ground Nut festival organised by Ghokimi Village Council under Pughoboto Sub-division at Local Ground, Ghokimi on 12th November 2025, with MLA, Dr.Sukhato A.Sema as special guest.

Sema in his address said that it is a great honour and joy for him to graced the ground Nut festival. He asserted that the festival is not just about a crops, it is about the story of our people, and stated that this festival remind us that prosperity comes not only from the soil but also from the heart that honours God and stand with faith, unity and abundance.

He also encouraged the general public to extend connection with government schemes that support small scale food processing, storage and marketing and form cooperative society/farmers group to collect process, package and brand Ground Nut.

Yithachu Thur, EAC Pughoboto, in his short speech, acknowledged the ground Nut farmers of Ghokimi Village for their extraordinary contribution in the field of organic farming particularly the organic ground Nut cultivation and for promoting the sub division in the field of agriculture.

Welcome address was delivered by K. Vishepu Assumi, VCC, Ghokimi Village, while vote of thanks was pronounced by GB Ghunakha Shohe Ghokimi Village.
