Under the aegis of Officers’ Club Mon, 11th Inter Departmental Tournament has been organised from 17th February 2025 to 19th February 2025 at Officers’ Club Mon (OCM), with Deputy Commissioner, Mon Ajit, IAS as special Guest and Kanchan Kumar Kandpal, IPS, SP, Mon as Guest of Honour in the Opening Function on 17th February 2025 at OCM.
In his speech, Kumar Verma appreciated the officers and the teams for making this tournament a successful one. He expressed his gratitude to the officers for taking on the initiative in setting up the Officers’ Club in Mon, which is the first of its kind in the state. He cited that it is a common platform for many officers to learn, interact and understand each other outside of office work and appealed to all the members to avail such platform. He also requested to maintain honesty and team spirit and best wishes to all the participants. Later, he declared the Tournament open.
In his speech, Kanchan Kumar the Guest of honour appreciated the officers for sacrificing their personal time in organising such an event. He also requested to coordinate and continue to maintain the same spirit to lead Mon District in all round development.
Tournament Oath taking was led by Er. Tingten, EE (Power). ADC Mon, Pakon Phom who is also the General Secretary of the OCM chaired the programme. Earlier, Yangman Lukhim entertained the gathering with the song ‘We are the Champion’ by Queen in the opening ceremony.
