The District Economics & Statistics Officer, Longleng held a Launching Programme for Distribution of IT Equipment Under Birth Registration based Aadhaar Enrollment Initiative and Aadhaar linked Birth Registration for Children (0-5 years) on the 28th April 2026 at DESO, Office Longleng.
Deputy Commissioner & District Chief Registrar of Birth & Death Longleng, W. Manpai Phom NCS, launched the Aadhaar Enrollment for Children (0-5 years) & distributed the IT Equipment to the selected Registrars Under Phase-I and highlighted about the importance of timely Registration of Births & Deaths and digitization of old certificates respectively. He said that the government will henceforth regulate the system more systematically. Online registration of birth and death certificates will transition from the earlier manual process to a fully digital and systematic format.
ESO, DES Kohima, Nzanbemo Kithan, shared the overview on Civil Registration System and to use the IT Equipment solely for the Registration of online Birth & Death certificates at block level.
Chairing the programme DESO & District Registrar of Births & Deaths, Longleng, Nyushotho Nyuthe, thanked and welcomed all the attendees. He highlighted on the Online Registration of Births & Deaths and use the IT Equipment efficiently at block level for the benefit of all the citizens.
