The nation-wide Information, Education & Communication (IEC) campaign under PM JANMAN and DA-JGUA was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Zunheboto, on May 19 under the theme “Jan Bhagidari – Sabse Door Sabse Pehle.” The campaign aimed to create awareness on government welfare schemes for tribal communities and conduct beneficiary saturation drives for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).

The meeting was chaired by Shaying Sheu, NCS, ADC Zunheboto, who emphasized the importance of departmental roles and responsibilities in ensuring that government welfare schemes and essential services reach every doorstep. He stated that even if one person benefits from the awareness drive, “that itself counts and matters.” He further encouraged all departments to work collectively, adding that the initiative should not fail as it is a shared responsibility.

It was resolved that all departments would jointly conduct awareness drives on various departmental schemes across Zunheboto district on a cluster basis. The campaign will commenced from May 25 covering Akuluto at Lumitsami Village, Suruhuto at Yehemi Village, and Aghunato at Viyilho Village.

On May 26, the campaign will continued at Atoizu in Vekuho New Village, Satoi at Satoi Village, and Pughoboto at Mishilimi Village. On May 27, the awareness drive will be held at Lizu Naghuto Village in Zunheboto and at Khukiye Lukhai Village under Satakha. A review meeting is scheduled to be held on May 29.
