A Joint Kisan Gosthi programme under ATMA for three blocks - Chizami, Pfutsero and Kikruma was held at Horticulture Research Farm (HRM), Pfutsero, Phek on 14th February 2026 with an objective of strengthening farmer scientist interaction, promoting scientific Agriculture practices and creating awareness on value addition resources. The programme was graced by MLA, Dr. Neisatuo Mero as the guest of honour. 
Dr. Neisatuo Mero in his address encouraged farmers to adopt scientific method to make effective use of Government programmes for agricultural development. He emphasized the importance of Innovation, conservation of local resources and collaborative efforts between farmers and technical agencies for long-term sustainability and income enhancement.
The technical session was conducted by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Sr. Scientist and Head ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Phek and David, NG the Spices Board of India, spoke on the prospect of spice cultivation in the region and emphasized quality improvement, organised production and market linkages as important components for increasing farmer’s income.
Kelhouzakie Chalie, SDHO Pfutsero highlighted the ongoing horticultural schemes, crop diversification strategies and development initiatives aimed at improving productivity and sustainability in horticultural sector. While Zalekhu Lohe inspector at SDHO, Pfutsero spoke on pest, diseases and its biological control. 
The programme was successfully concluded with participant of farmers from three blocks under Phek district.
