In preparation for the upcoming festive season, the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kohima has announced that a mass social work will be conducted on Saturday, October 19, 2024, covering the entire jurisdiction under Kohima District.

The mass social work, scheduled to start from 6:00 AM, will see the active participation of all citizens across villages, towns, and municipal areas within the district. Government offices and staff stationed at district headquarters and sub-divisions are required to participate, ensuring the event’s success.

Work Distribution:

The jurisdiction has been divided into areas, with designated officers-in-charge and supervisory officers overseeing the activities:

 

1.      Kohima Municipal Area (including all colonies/wards, commercial areas & highways): CEO, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC), and Sr. Sanitary Inspector, KMC.

2.      Chiephobozou Town (including all colonies/wards, commercial areas & highways): ADC & Executive Officer, Chiephobozou Town Council and EAC Chiephobozou.

3.      EAC HQ. Botsa and all villages under Botsa Circle: EAC Botsa and BDO Botsa.

4.      All villages under Chiephobozou Circle: EAC Chiephobozou and BDO Chiephobozou.

5.      All villages under Kohima Sadar: EAC Sadar and BDO Kohima.

6.      SDO (C) HQ. Jakhama and all villages under Jakhama Circle: SDO (C) Jakhama and BDO Jakhama.

7.      EAC HQ. Kezocha and all villages under Kezocha Circle: EAC Kezocha and BDO Jakhama.

8.      SDO (C) HQ. Sechii-Zubza and all villages under Sechü-Zubza Circle: SDO (C) Sechii-Zubza and BDO Sechii-Zubza.

A detailed action plan will be worked out by officers in charge and supervisory officers for their respective areas to ensure the smooth conduct of the mass social work.

ADC Kohima, Rhosetsho Ngouri, has been appointed as the overall in-charge for the event and can be contacted for further details, while the Chairperson and Councillors of the Kohima Municipal Council and the Chiephobozou Town Council have been requested to mobilize citizens in their respective towns to ensure active participation in the social work.

Citizens are urged to actively participate in this community effort to keep the district clean and prepared for the festive season.
