In observation of 4th Day of Fire Service Week 2025, a live fire safety demonstration was conducted at Deluxe Point on 17th April 2025. OC, Tsarose Sangtam emphasized the importance of mass awareness on fire safety, particularly focusing on kitchen and electrical fires. He urged the public to install fire safety equipments in their homes, offices, and shops. Sangtam highlighted that a survey in 2022 revealed a lack of fire safety installation in government offices, hospitals, schools, churches, commercial places, and private residences in Kiphire Town. He mentioned the upcoming implementation of the Nagaland Fire & Emergency Service Act, urging the public to prioritize fire safety to create a healthy and fire safety environment.
The live demonstrations showcased fire handling techniques, and training sessions educating attendees on using fire extinguishers, aiming to sensitize the community about fire safety measures.
