The Longleng District Planning and Development Board meeting for the month of October was held on 8th October 2024, under the Chairmanship of DC and Vice Chairman DPDB Longleng, W. Manpai Phom, NCS, at the DPDB hall Longleng.
New member, Rajveer Kumawat, DIO (NIC) was introduced. After the review of the previous meeting minutes, the Board discussed and deliberated on the following agendas: Registration of Phom Lempong Higher secondary School and Senerity Home both run by the Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA), for which the house recommended the proposal.
DC also informed the house that the Governor may likely visit the district, so he requested all HoDs to be prepared. He also informed that the District Disaster Management Longleng (DDML) will be conducting mock exercise on 26th October 2024, and he informed all officers to be in station.
The Department of Water Resources presented their Departmental activities in the meeting through PowerPoint. The Chairman entrusted Education Department for their presentation in the next meeting.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the DC.
