In view of the preparation for Hornbill festival 2024, a mass social work was conducted at Medziphema sub-division on 25th October 2024, along with the rest of the state. The mass social work commenced from 7 am onwards.

During the mass social work all government offices and public participated actively cleaning the town and villages. Medziphema administration, councillors, village councils, ward sanitation committees and GB's executed the social work and called for proper maintenance of sanitation, to remove all building materials stacked on the road sides, cleaning NH-29 route  under Medziphema jurisdiction and to ensure proper sanitation along the highway. 

Advisor, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Government of Nagaland, Zhaleo Rio IAS (RTD) along with his NDPP party workers also participated in the mass social work by cutting trees that obstructed the streets in Medziphema sub-division. People from different sections of the society came forward and joined the mass social work making it a great success.
