The Monthly DPDB meeting of Meluri district was held at the DB's Court, Meluri on 11th June 2026, under the chairmanship of the Advisor, NSDMA & Inland Waterways and DPDB Chairman, Meluri, Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe.
Z. Nyuthe, welcomed the members present in the meeting and reviewed the previous meeting minutes. While discussing on various development issues concerning the district, he expressed concern over the shortage of teachers in some Government Schools under Pochury Area, emphasizing the need to induct additional teachers to address the problem.
DC Meluri, Phuleshe K. Yepthomi, emphasized the need to establish a Red Cross Society in Meluri for the welfare of the general public. He also requested all departments to submit their LADP proposal at the earliest.
During the meeting, the board also recommended the proposal submitted by the Khumiasu village requesting for Regional Taxi Permit to ply from Khumiasu to Dimapur. Later the SDO PHED, Rangam Nyuwi, highlighting the department’s activities and various scheme and programmes implemented under Meluri through PowerPoint presentation.
