Minister for Housing & Mechanical Engineering, P. Bashangmongba Chang formally inaugurated the PWD Office Complex at Tongdentsuyong ward, Mokokchung on 12th March 2025.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister extended his appreciation to Chief Minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to infrastructure development the state. He added that the project is a testament to his vision for a well-planned and modern Nagaland. He also maintained that the new complex stands as a symbol of progress and development for Mokokchung district and beyond, a facility designed to provide a conducive working environment for the employees, enhancing efficiency of the department to provide better services to the public. While reiterating that Public Works Department is one of the most crucial departments in the state, directly responsible for the construction and maintenance of roads, buildings and other essential infrastructures, the addition of the complex will undoubtedly improve the department’s capacity to deliver timely and quality services to the people. He also encouraged all the officers and staff to uphold the values of integrity, commitment and service to the people.
Earlier in the programme, short speeches were delivered by CE PWD (H), Er. Hozheto Shikhu, and Imti Ozukhum, Tongdentsuyong Ward Chairman. J.E. PWD (H) Mokokchung Division, Er. Talitemjen Jamir presented the technical report. The programme was chaired by E.E. PWD (H) Mokokchung Division, Er. Chengato Kath, while vote of thanks was proposed by S.E. Circle-1PWD (H), Kohima, Er. Supongliba. The dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Monglier Pastor, MTBA.
