The monthly District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Mokokchung was held on 5th June 2025 at Dc's Conference Hall, Mokokchung under the Chairmanship of MLA & Chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Nuklutoshi. The meeting was also attended by T.N Mannen, (IAS Retd.) Advisor, Law & Justice and Land Revenue.

Speaking on the agenda, the chairman urged upon the District Administration to have a Road Map to collect Plastic Waste and to make Plastic Free Mokokchung.

Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS acknowledged the idea and concept of the chairman and emphasised that it can be achieved if all the stakeholders and Head of Departments under Mokokchung work together and co-operate. He also informed the board that the chairman will be donating 6 water dispensers to be installed at different locations at Mokokchung Town.

The board approved for provisional recognition of Little Friends Montessori Pre-School, Tzusapang Sector and forwarded to the Government for final approval.

As part of observing the World Environment Day, Advisor, T.N Mannen called upon all to preserve and protect the Bio-diversity and Flora and Fauna in the District. He further urged upon the District Administration to strictly prohibit and implement the Ban on Hunting and Fishing in the river by using chemical and explosive to ensure the protection and conservation of Wildlife in the District.

In the closing remarks, The Deputy Commissioner encouraged all the members to be present at the monthly DPDB meeting regularly to discuss issues and matters related to the overall development of the District.
