Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises along with Prarthana Pawale, Central Prabhari Officer for the Aspirational District and Block Programme, NITI Aayog are on a 3-day visit to Kiphire district from 13th-15th April 2026. 

The consultative meeting was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer on 14th April 2026 at DPDB hall, Kiphire. During the review meeting, discussion was held with line departments in regards to innovation projects of National Institute for transformation of India, NITI Ayog and culmination of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0.

While interacting with the officers, Joint Secretary inquired about the activities of each department and encouraged the HoDs in Kiphire Aspirational District to be more innovative in implementing Government projects and their roles and responsibility. Interacting with the SHGs workers, she informed the members to organise exhibition outside the district showcasing the best agriculture produce and various other products from Kiphire Aspirational District and further advised them to apply for schemes on which she asserted for funding. She further assigned the heads of offices in the district to prepare an annual plan for development to improve the performance of the district. She directed the officers to submit the same to DC Kiphire for further necessary action.

The Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Mercy Epao, and Prathana Pawale, Central Prabhari Officer was warmly received by the district administration and heads of district offices at Helipad, Kiphire on 13th April 2026.

The purpose of the visit were inspection and monitoring of diverse programme undertaken under Kiphire Aspirational District programme. The team also visited key villages such as Amahator, Thethuyo and Phelunger.
