The Nagaland Health Protection Society (NHPS) successfully organized a two-day refresher workshop on the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (AB PM-JAY/CMHIS) on May 29th and 30th 2025, at the Capital Convention Centre, Kohima.
The primary objective of the workshop was to strengthen the capacities and deepen the understanding of key stakeholders involved in the implementation and management of the schemes. It also aimed to enhance service delivery efficiency and ensure greater transparency in all operational aspects of the programme.
The workshop commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Kikameren Longkumer, Joint CEO, NHPS followed by an Overview of the scheme presented by Livitoli Sukhalu, Deputy CEO, NHPS. The other key speakers from NHPS includes: Neitsophe Sekhamo, Beneficiary Verification Consultant; Seyievito Denny Kin, Data Manager cum IT Support; Dr. Akaholi V. Zhimomi, Medical Officer, and Dr. Imlinenla Longchar, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager.
Additionally, the newly onboarded insurance partner for FY 2025-26, Reliance General Insurance Company Limited, provided an important session on claim adjudication processes for Medco/PMAM.
Participants included Chief Medical Officers (CMOs), Deputy CMOs from all districts, Nodal Officers from all empanelled hospitals, PMAMs, representatives from the Insurance Company and its processing team, as well as District Programme Coordinators.
The two-day event concluded with an interactive Q&A session that addressed participants' queries and facilitated productive discussions.
In the closing remarks, the NHPS extends its sincere appreciation to all attendees for their active participation, which contributed to the success of the workshop.
