The Nagaland Board of School Education is organizing the Stage l: District level Examination of the State Talent Search Examination (STSE) in Mithridatics and Science on l0th September 2024 at the 16 District Headquarters including Medziphema, where 5692 students of class -IX (Nine) only from 236 schools will appear written examination of Multiple Choice-Type Questions in 21 examination centers.
The Stage 2: State lever Examination will be held in the month of October 2024 where each participant will attend a three-days course in Kohima and be mentored by PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi.
This is being done in collaboration with performance Assessment, Review and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development (PARAKH). National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi, as part of the activities planned to commemorate the Board's Golden Jubilee in order to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education in the state.
Visions and objectives of the Talent Search:
1. Promote STEM Education: Encourage students to develop a keen interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
2. Identify Talent: Discover students with exceptional abilities and potential in STEM subjects.
3. Foster Excellence: provide a platform for students to showcase their skills and knowledge in mathematics and science.
4. Enhance skills: Improve problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
5. Encourage Innovation: Inspire innovative thinking and application of STEM concepts.
6. Prepare for Future Careers: Equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge for future academic and career pursuits in STEM fields.
7. Provide Recognition: Recognize and reward talented students, motivating them to pursue further studies and careers in STEM.
