The Governor of Nagaland La Ganesan graced the National Integration Tour flagging ceremony at Kohima Garrison Assam Rifles on 18th February 2025.
Speaking at the flagging ceremony, the Governor said that he was delighted to attend at the Flagging in Ceremony of the National Integration Tour organised by the 13 Assam Rifles under the esteemed aegis of HQ IGAR North. He informed that he was glad to know that this initiative started from the 4th of February 2025 and culminating on 18th of February 2025 and brought together 16 enthusiastic students and 4 dedicated teachers from various colleges in Kohima and that they visited the vibrant cities of Mumbai, Pune and also the beautiful landscapes and the beaches of Goa. It is truly heart-warming to see the glimpses of their experiences and hear about the profound impact this tour has had on their lives.
India is a land of unparalleled beauty, rich traditions and diverse cultures. As citizens of this great nation, it is important that we understand and appreciate each other’s differences while celebrating our shared values. I am sure this tour has shown us how such interactions and experiences can foster mutual respect, understanding and unity among our people. These experiences have not only broadened your horizons but also instilled in you a deep sense of pride and appreciation for our nation's rich heritage and vibrant present, the Governor said.
The Governor extended his gratitude to the Assam Rifles for their commitment to promoting national integration and for organising this tour with such dedication. The efforts put in to nurture the spirit of unity among the youths are commendable and deserve our appreciation. The Assam Rifles have, time and again, demonstrated their dedication to the service of our nation, and this initiative is yet another testament to their commitment towards their duty.
The Governor encouraged more students and teachers to join such initiatives in the future, as these tours are not just about travel; they are about building bridges, forging friendships and nurturing a sense of national pride and unity. It is through such initiatives that we can truly understand and appreciate the diversity that defines our nation and work towards a future where harmony and understanding prevail. The Governor further appealed all to strive and be ambassadors of peace, unity and integration, and work towards building a nation that is united in its diversity.
The Governor congratulated the Assam Rifles, the teachers and the students for this successful National Integration Tour and felt confident that the lessons learned and the memories created during this tour will inspire all to work towards a more united and integrated India.
