In response to the recent landslide and its ongoing impact, officials from the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), under the Home Department, visited Phesama Village and extended financial relief to address immediate concerns on 3rd June 2025. During the visit, discussions were also held with the Phesama Village Council to assess emergency needs and coordinate ongoing support.
Meanwhile, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kohima, is working on modalities to extend relief materials to truckers stranded due to the landslide. This initiative is being undertaken in collaboration with the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Jakhama, and the Phesama Youth Organization.
In addition, the DDMA Kohima and the Phesama Youth Organization are jointly identifying individuals whose properties have been affected by the landslide. Relief measures will be extended to these affected families based on the assessments.
Coordinated efforts are underway to ensure timely assistance to both residents and those impacted by the disruption.
