Nagaland Village Guards of Noklak Village celebrated its Golden Jubilee on 11th September 2024 at Noklak Village Guard Post. Speaking at the occasion as Special Guest, MLA P. Longon briefly highlighted the history on the initiation of the Village Guard at Pangsha and the struggles and challenges they faced in the initial years. He mentioned that the VG record has been exemplary and urged them to continue the good work.

Earlier, P. Longon unveiled the Jubilee Monolith and launched the Souvenir which was dedicated by the Literature and Education Secretary, Khiamniungan Baptist Churches Association Munno.

SDO (Civil) Noklak, Vikhoto Richa stated that VG was formed under very different and challenging circumstances. It has always been the backbone of the District Administration. He acknowledged their service towards the nation and exhorted them to remain loyal.

Commandant, NVG, Tuensang, Mongoyanchu, IPS highlighted the importance of training to Nagaland Village Guards on various new criminal laws where it should be at village base for the convenience of the VGs.   While Asst. Commandant Noklak Nokchem L, acknowledged the VGs stating that they are an asset and not a liability. He said that VGs not only fulfils the call of duty but responds to calls for assistance during natural disasters. He urged them to be vigilant and re-dedicate their service to the public and government.

During their short speeches, Head GB Noklak Village, Khusho, Head GB Kusong Village, Ngon and Convenor Planning Committee, Shai paid their tributes to the pioneers and the service of present VG personnel, and further encouraged them to continue their good work. The event was chaired by Jeolam and Chongkoi K, while the welcome speech was delivered by Hav. Maj. L. Bumeng, Post Commander Noklak Village Guard. Special Song was presented by Thang Students' Union and Kusong Thsamve Hoikam, and the programme culminated with a vote of thanks by S. Panpan, Chairman, Noklak Village Council.

A Special Prayer for the VGs was conducted at Baptist Church Thang in the evening service.

 Presentations were also given to the pioneers and the present serving VG personnel. The Jubilee witnessed a harmonious presentation of a Christian hymn 'Rock of Ages ' by the Frontier Pipe Band Nagaland Village Guard, Noklak.
