The Oath taking programme for the Government Nominees to the Town Council of Peren and Jalukie was held at the conference hall, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Peren on 28th January 2025.
The Government nominated members for Peren Town Council are Suipeu Iheilung, Kanda Teilua, I Heigang Zeliang and for Jalukie Town council are Peusuibe Hau, Enock and Gailialung.
Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru administered the Oath Taking for the Government Nominee members for both Peren Town council and Jalukie Town Council. After the official Oath taking programme, Hiazu Meru highlighted the importance of the Municipal management and encouraged the members of their responsibility and functions in the Council.
Hiazu Meru also highlighted about the sanitation collection regulations and said that town sanitation involves the management of waste, water, and human excretion to ensure the health of the community and to protect public health and prevent the spread of disease. The DC also encouraged both the members of Peren and Jalukie, to come together to solve the sanitation problems and also to dedicate themselves and commit their time and create new things about the ecological sanitation.
Zeliang Officers Association Nagaland led by its president Dr, Hiabe and both the council chairmen of Peren and Jalukie attended the oath taking ceremony. In the programme ADC Peren, Keyirangding and Zoan President Dr, Hiabe also encouraged the members to dedicate themselves to uplift the council with their good ability.
