One Day Awareness Program on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was organised by Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre, IDAN in collaboration with Nagaland Science and Technology Council (NASTEC) and Educentre School of Business (ESB). The event took place at E Space, Duncan Basti, Dimapur, on 23rd October 2024. The resource persons were Limasenla Longkumer, Intellectual Property Rights Consultant, IPFC and Gihukali Chishi, Technical In-Charge, Patent Information Centre NASTEC.
The program covered on “Protection under Intellectual Property Rights” and “Basics of Patents, Trademarks, Designs, and TradeSecrets”. The event was attended by students and startups. During the gathering, information was shared about the newly established IPFC offices, now available at the Integrated Business Hub and Innovation Centre in Forest Complex, Dimapur, and at the IDAN office in Kohima.
Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) is a State promotion agency in the State and plays a vital role in facilitating a wide range in various projects in Nagaland. The goal is to create a positive impact in key areas such as Education, Healthcare, Skill Development & Employability, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood and Community Welfare. IPFC is one among such project in order to facilitate the entrepreneurs, startups and innovators in the State to the right place and to commercialise their business, The Centre has been set for the first time in Nagaland under IDAN.
The program was chaired by Nikhaholi Sumi, IPFC, welcome address by Lezo Putsure, CEO, Educentre and Vote of thanks by David Kire, OSD, IDAN.
