Minister of Health & Family Welfare of Nagaland, P. Paiwang Konyak, on his tour to Hezukhu Memorial District Hospital Zunheboto, held a review meeting at Zunheboto District Hospital on 25th June 2025. The programme was chaired by Deputy Director, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Khesikha Yepthomi and the welcome address was delivered by Medical Superintendent, Dr. S Kuotsutho.
P. Paiwang Konyak highlighted the purpose of the tour and chaired the meeting in presence of state health officials and civil societies of district. He emphasized that the tour was aimed at serving public interest and is in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. The tour, he said, is intended to check manpower and proper utilization of funds in the health sector of district. He also mentioned the various schemes and programmes launched by the State Government under the leadership of the Chief Minister in the health sector giving the example of CMHIS. The Minister encouraged the public and various civil societies in district to be aware of those schemes, and to avail its benefits.
Later, Konyak talked about the various projects that are ongoing in the district including the quarters for medical staff in district and IPHL Lab, and also mentioned the future constructions of an urban PHC, a CMO Office, a 30-bedded Ayush hospital, a CHC at Pughoboto, PHC at Satoi, Hoshephu MO quarter and a Nursing School in the district. The Minister, therefore, sought support of public and various civil societies for completion of these projects.
In the closing remarks, Advisor for Food & Civil Supplies, K.T Sukhalu, (IAS Rtd.) said he will make necessary arrangements and fund allocation for equipment room expansion received under Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme.
