The inaugural programme of Ambulance with Advance Life Support (ACS) contributed to Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) under Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) initiative of Power Grid Corporation India Limited (PGCIL) was held at IMDH premises on 8th July 2026 in the presence of Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer, who graced the occasion as the special guest of honour.

            Speaking on the occasion, the special guest expressed his profound appreciation to PGCIL (Power Grid) for its noble and commendable contribution towards strengthening the health care sector in the district under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

            Highlighting the importance of well-equipped emergency medical transport system, the Speaker mentioned that several precious lives had been lost in the past due to lack of such facility.

            Sharingain noted that the introduction of the new facility would play a vital role in providing timely medical assistance during emergencies and significantly improve access to critical health care services.

            Appreciating the dedication and tireless efforts of the medical fraternity of IMDH in delivering healthcare services to the people, he expressed confidence that the addition of the new facility would further enhance their capacity to provide prompt and quality medical care, ultimately contributing to saving more lives.

            Short speeches were delivered by Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, Thapara Deori, Chief Manager PowerGrid, President Ao Senden, Marsanen Imsong and Dr. Alemwapang Aier, Medical Superintendent, IMDH.

            The programme was chaired and welcome address was delivered by Dr. Kilangwabang Pongener, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. H.T Sangtem. The Ambulance was formally flagged off by the Speaker in presence of officials from District Administration, Power Grid, IMDH and Civil Society Organisations.
